The public is invited to join the Idaho Peace Coalition and John Dear for a vigil for peace in the park. Dear is a man who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. The Jesuit priest and 2008 Nobel Peace Prize nominee and nonviolent activist has been arrested more than 75 times for acts of civil disobedience. Later the same night, Dear reads from his new memoir A Persistent Peace: One Man’s Struggle for a Nonviolent World.
