When: Fri., June 16, 5-9 p.m. 2017
Idaho native Jim Burkhard, a veteran of World War II, returned to spend his life in Boise with his new bride Marian in 1946. He left us last year, a couple of weeks before his 100th birthday. Burkhard was passionate about black and white photography, participating in workshops with Ansel Adams and John Sexton, and studying with Howard Huff at Boise State. He left behind a collection of beautiful, signed, one-of-a-kind prints of his landscape work, many of which will be presented at Friday's opening. Drop by to celebrate both Burkhard's work and Marian's 93rd birthday.
