Athletes and coaches have long recognized the performance benefits of interval workouts. More recently, those same types of workouts have shown tremendous health benefits from relatively short periods of high intensity. You'll learn the science about how the “one minute workout” and similar approaches can improve your health in dramatic ways. Then you'll do such a workout in The College of Idaho’s Exercise Physiology Laboratory on stationary bikes and experience how short, but how tough these workouts are.
