When: Sat., May 2, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. 2015
If you grew up watching Nickelodeon you know about “extreme” obstacle courses. Now is your—and/or your kids’— chance to live the dream of completing one. The nationally touring Insane Inflatable 5K is coming to Garden City on Saturday, May 2, featuring almost a dozen enormous blow-up obstacles that require speed, dexterity and, most important, a sense of fun to overcome. Participants must scramble up ramps, slip down slides, run on shaky ground and crawl through crazy structures that are billed as “the world’s largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles ever produced.” Now in its second year, the Insane Inflatable 5K takes place in more than 70 locations around the country, with portions of the proceeds from its one-day Idaho event benefiting St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital. Kids are invited to take part, with a suggested minimum age of 8 years old and a minimum height requirement of 42 inches. The whole thing blows up at Expo Idaho with waves of participants taking off from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. $100 gets you all access to run the course any time throughout the day, even if a wave is full.
