IDOC: Two Idaho Inmates Walk Away From Work Crews in Two Days

The Idaho Department of Correction reports the second offender walkaway from an eastern Idaho inmate work crew in as many days.

On July 20, 39-year-old Kirsten Walz, who had been convicted for drug possession in 2015 and forgery in 2016, walked away from a work crew on the northeast side of Pocatello. She had also been recently indicted on additional drug charges. About 26-hours after she was reported missing, Walz was arrested, without incident at a Pocatello residence. IDOC officers worked with the Pocatello Police Department and the Idaho Department of Probation and Parole to locate and arrest Walz.

Meanwhile, 35-year-old Randall Brunette Jr., who had been serving time following a 2013 conviction for drug possession, went missing July 21 from a work assignment along Highway 20, north of Idaho Falls. Brunette is described as having black hair, brown eyes and a light brown complexion. He's approximately 195 pounds and 5' 8". Anyone with information about Brunette's whereabouts is urged to contact local law enforcement.
