According to 2014 data from the Social Security Administration, 117 baby girls in Idaho were named Emma, and Liam was the most popular boy's name: 116 babies were given that name.
The SSA released the list this morning, giving rankings on a state-by-state basis and searchable by year going back to 1960.
The top girls' names in Idaho were, in order: Emma, Olivia, Charlotte, Abigail, Harper, Sophia, Elizabeth, Avery, Evelyn and Emily.
The top boys' names were, in order: Liam, William, Mason, Oliver, Samuel, James, Jackson, Alexander, Jaxon and Henry.
Some of the more unique girls' names were Paisley (37 of them), Nevaeh (26) and Serenity (17). Some of the more unique boys' names were Ryker (46), Declan (36) and Daxton (22).
Compare those with 50 years ago, when the most popular names in Idaho for girls were Lisa, Julie and Teresa, while the most popular names for boys were David, Michael and John.
