- Priest Lake
Once again, the state of Idaho will put more of its cottage sites on the auction block—this time near Priest Lake in northern Idaho. To date, the state has sold 127 of its cottage site lots at Priest and Payette lakes in an effort to divest itself from the business of leasing the land to Idaho cabin owners.
The latest auction, for 38 lots, is set for Friday, Aug. 28 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort at 1 p.m., Pacific Time. All of the properties are waterfront and the auctions will be for the lots only. For those lots that have cabins, the winning bidder must agree to a sales price with the cabin's owner.
This Saturday's auction will include properties 10 lots in the Pinto Point Neighborhood; eight in the Horton Creek Neighborhood; five each in the Hunt Creek and Woody's Point neighborhoods; three each in the Tanglewood Point and Kokanee Point neighborhoods; and one each in the Bear Creek Bay, Leisure Bay, Soldier Creek and Two Mouth Creek neighborhoods.
Approximately 140 more lots at Priest and Payette lakes are expected to be auctioned by 2017.
