Marc Johnson of the Idaho Humanities Council presents a lecture about Abraham Lincoln. The lecture titled Re-electing Lincoln: The Election of 1864 focuses on aspects of Lincoln's presidency during the Civil War and compares the 1864 election to other elections held in war time, particularly 1944 and 1968. Lincoln was pessimistic about winning the election, yet his re-election was critical to the outcome of the Civil War.
