The work of equality isn't making everybody the same: It's making the world a safe place for everyone to contribute. It isn't easy work, and sometimes it can seem like a very abstract project, but those ideas will be central to All Embracing, four days of dance from Idaho Dance Theatre. Special guests include Open Arms Dance Project, a dance company that includes members from different generations. Others have disabilities. The troupe will perform a piece directed by Megan Brandel, an alum of IDT who has studied elementary and special education. The event will also include a new dance by IDT Director Marla Hansen, "Songs and Poems for Solo Cello," as well as works by Yurek Hansen, Sam Mughrabi and Taylorann Evans showcasing a wide range of styles and influences.
