Hannibal Buress is always joking, to the extent that even his website biography is a subtle riff on his stand-up theme: In the first line, the bio claims Burress is "a mildly popular comedian," only to add a sentence later that the New York Times has called him "one of the most 'supremely gifted and respected' comics around." But really man, no big deal. In all seriousness, The Times had it right. When it comes to comedic resumes, Burress' is the gold standard, with not only plenty of stand-up gigs including Netflix cuts like Comedy Camisado, but a podcast (Handsome Rambler), screenwriting jobs on shows like 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, and blockbuster film appearances ranging from Spider-Man: Homecoming to the new gut-busting comedy, Blockers. His upcoming Boise show is an evening that shouldn't be missed.
