When: Mondays. Continues through Jan. 10 2010
The newest hands-on exhibition includes more than 20 new displays that bring sound, vibrations, cycles and repeating patterns to life. Some of the exhibits are the “Bite-A-Phone” in which visitors bite softly on a rod (replaced after each user) so that they can hear music resonating inside their own heads. The “Slap-A-Phone” involves picking up some flip-flops and pounding out a tune on the giant display, and the new “Organ Pipes” exhibit uses a giant bellow to pump air through a variety of handmade whistles in combinations that are controlled by visitors.
Price: $6.50 for adults; $4 for children (3-17); $5.50 seniors (62 and older); FREE for members and children (2 and younger)
