Good Soldier

When: Tue., Nov. 10, 7 p.m. 2009

Boot camp trains soldiers to kill without remorse, to follow orders, to be a “good soldier”. What happens to these men and women, asked to do unspeakable things, when they return home? Those returning from war often stay mute about the events they witness in battle, this story follows those who were sent to die—but didn’t. One commented, “life is more difficult than death.” The Good Soldier chronicles the stories of five combat veterans; men who saw action in wars ranging from World War Two to Vietnam to Iraq. “This is the nature of war. You can’t turn on and off the faucet. It doesn’t work like that.”
