The festival Sept. 25-28 revolves around the theme of ‘Hemingway in Cuba’ and explores the author’s life and work in Cuba through lectures and panel discussions by national scholars, a tour of Hemingway sites, book readings, museum displays and an ‘Evening in Cuba,’ with music, mojitos and salsa dancing. On Sept. 27, festival attendees can pay $1,000 for an elegant dinner and tour of Hemingway’s Ketchum home. Tickets must be purchased prior to Tuesday, Sept. 19 by calling 208-788-8988, Ext. 16. Proceeds from the event go to The Nature Conservancy.
