- Ford Idaho Center
Saying they wanted to drive up bookings and revenue at the Ford Idaho Center, city officials in Nampa inked a new five-year contract Tuesday with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor to take over management of the facility.
The Philadelphia-based company quickly named a new general manger for the Ford Idaho Center, hiring Tom Savona from the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo., another Spectra property.
Spectra specializes in management, food services, hospitality and/or ticketing at more than 400 properties worldwide. Comcast Spectacor, part of the Comcast Corporation, also owns the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Ford Idaho Center is the largest entertainment venue in Idaho, featuring a 12,000-seat arena, 11,000-seat amphitheater and an equine park. The center boasts more than 300,000 visitors each year.
