The Valentine for AIDS Silent Auction at Flying M Coffeehouse—which featured Valentine's Day-themed art pieces from more than 250 local artists including paintings, collages, sculptures, jewelry, textiles and more—wrapped up at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, after a 10-day bidding war. This year, the annual event raked in a total of $26,958 to benefit SNAP, an Idaho Department of Health and Welfare program that offers help to those living with AIDS and HIV.

"It's a little over $800 [up] from last year, we can't ask more than that!" wrote Flying M Owner Kent Collins in an email.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of the auction, which first began in 1993. In total, the coffeehouse has raised more than $300,000 for the cause.
