Last week I ranted about BW being censored from the Idaho State Capitol. Apparently, we weren't the only ones to suffer the ill effects of an über-virtuous Idaho government official. This month's issue of Treasure Valley Christian News was also put "under the desk" because of their front page headline "Bold Truth Tour with Josh McDowell and SuperChick."

It seems the word which so offended the person responsible for censoring TVCN was "SuperChick." SuperChick is a Christian rock band [dramatic pause]. I'm not sure I can say anything more at this point. I can only shake my head and hope I get invited to the book burnings on the captital steps.

On a similar but slightly different note, a reader called to complain that we were attacking Christians in our "News Shorts" last week. We reported that two Christian activist groups were denouncing SpongeBob SquarePants because of his appearance in a video promoting tolerance. For the record, we do not believe all Christians are bigots, just some--like the kind supporting the gay marriage amendment. Many Christians we know are caring, tolerant and open minded, true practitioners of WWJD. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that not all Germans are Nazis, not all Muslims are terrorists and not all newspaper editors are social deviants ... just some.
