February 21, 2007

I get most of my news from the Internet, but I do like to read newspapers. My 2007 treat for myself was to attempt getting the Sunday New York Times delivered to my house. I fantasized about leisurely poring over the pages for hours while drinking coffee. Unfortunately, the paper has only shown up once in the last month. I have my theories, but I think I will have to forego my attempt to join the newspaper delivery club and just go out and buy the darn thing on Sunday morning.

Have you ever added comments to a story published in BW on our Web site? At the bottom of every story on our Web site, you can post comments. Some stories generate quite a few comments, others none. Ideally, all our published stories generate discussion, debate and constructive sharing of ideas. Post your comments to let us know what stories you are reading. These comments often get pulled into print as letters to the editor.

There is also a BW forum where you can post general comments and generate dialogue with other BW readers. You are required to be a registered BW forum user in order to join these discussions. There is a Spanish-language thread called El Blog del Barrio. Es un espacio para compartir observaciones, conversar, dilucidar asuntos, airear nuestras frustraciones y en fin para poder quitarles las telarañas a nuestras plumas cuando nos apetezca.

There is our BW clique as well. We have weekly giveaways that include tickets to all types of events that you read about in these pages. Log on to www.boiseweekly.com today.
