The annual celebration of all things two-wheeled kicks off at 10 a.m. with the Bicycle Parade, which winds it way from Ann Morrison Park through downtown to the Capitol for the city's first-ever Bicycle Rally. As always, you can expect eye-popping costumes, decorated bicycles, custom bikes, and general silliness. Festivities crank back up again at the Idaho Botanical Garden starting at 4 p.m., where the evening of entertainment is headlined by Blackberry Smoke. You'll also enjoy a mix of musicians, circus performers, vaudeville acts, magicians, comedians, and mind-blowing provocateurs. Costumes are encouraged and there'll even be a fashion show for bikers to show off their stuff. Plus everyone age 21 and older can enjoy year-round beers from New Belgium, including its flagship beer, the American craft beer icon Fat Tire Belgian Style Ale, along with Voodoo Ranger IPA and Citradelic Tangerine IPA. Tour de Fat’s Boise stop benefits Boise Bicycle Project, Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association, and Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance.
