Arrested and charged with domestic battery, false imprisonment and attempted strangulation Jan. 23, Troy Eisele's career with the Ada County Sheriff's Office came to an end. Eisele, 29, worked at the Ada County Jail since March 2015, but a Jan. 25 press release from the Ada County Sheriff's Office stated he has been terminated.
Eisele was arraigned today on charges of false imprisonment—a misdemeanor, and attempted strangulation—a felony.

Late Saturday night, an Ada County detention deputy was booked into to the same jail where he works. Meridian Police report 29-year-old Troy Eisele, who was employed at Ada County Jail since March 2015, was arrested at his Meridian home following an altercation between Eisele and a woman. He is charged with attempted strangulation, false imprisonment and domestic battery. Eisele has been placed on administrative leave and an independent investigation will determine his future employment status.
In Boise County, a Garden Valley man is charged with alleged sexual misconduct. Prosecutors say 37-year-old Richard Swalley, an ex-employee of Project Patch, a 170-acre children's residential care facility in Garden Valley, was arrested Jan. 6 on the grounds of the facility, but added the investigation found no evidence of abuse of children at the youth ranch. Swalley is being held at the Ada County Jail where he faces six felony counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16. Project Patch officials say Swalley has been fired.
In Elmore County, the principal of Mountain Home's Hacker Middle School was arrested Jan. 22 on allegations of sexual abuse of a minor child. The Mountain Home News
reports John Fredrick Clark, who took over as the middle school's principal last August, has been placed on administrative leave by the Mountain Home School District. According to the article, superintendent James Gilbert "emphasized that the alleged incident didn't involve any students at the school nor did it happen on school grounds." Clark is being held on no bail at the Elmore County Jail.
