Boise Police are looking for this man, who robbed the Wells Fargo bank at Collister and State streets last Friday. At approximately 3:30 p.m., police say he walked into the bank and displayed a handgun--an aggressive maneuver, but one that was probably necessary to get anyone to take him seriously, given his non-threatening attire of a colorful striped sweater and cargo pants. The suspect, described as white, five feet, five or six inches tall with a slim build, was last seen booking north on foot from the bank--a interesting tactical move, since Old Navy is actually located to the south of the bank.
This same Wells Fargo branch was robbed the previous Thursday, but after a pair of witnesses followed the suspect to his car and took down his license plate number, suspect Kenneth Patrick McDonald was quickly arrested. KTVB Channel 7 reported that one witness at this week's robbery had the same idea, and pursued the suspect briefly on foot without realizing that the suspect had a gun (Altogether now: "Doy! Nice idea, dorkus, but did you think you were just going to be able to use your spidey web-shooters to keep him from blasting your arse off?"). Luckily, no one was injured.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 343-COPS.
