Encaustic or hot beeswax painting has been around for more than 2,000 years. Since the beginning of the 20th century, artists have explored and re-invented this ancient medium for contemporary art. Join the Treasure Valley Artists’ Alliance for a panel of encaustic artists to discuss and illustrate their different approaches to create translucent layers and complex textures and to combine these with other media.
