UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle as Boise Woman

The Ada County Coroner has identified a pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle August 24 as 83-year-old Glenys Jenson of Boise. Investigators said the woman died at a local hospital hours after being struck on Cole Road near Hummel Street. Boise Police said the driver of the vehicle was cooperating with their investigation, adding that they didn't believe that alcohol was a factor in the incident.

A female pedestrian was killed late Friday night in a Boise crosswalk when she was struck by a southbound vehicle on Cole Road.

Boise Police investigators say the victim, a woman in her 80s, was walking near S. Cole Road and W. Hummel Drive when she was struck by the vehicle. BPD said the driver, an adult woman, was cooperating with the investigation. Police added that alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident. No charges had been filed as of Saturday morning.

Investigators said the woman was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries a short time later. The Ada County Coroner said she would release the name of the victim once proper notifications had been made.
