In Notus, voters will be asked for the third time to approve a bond to fund a new facility that would replace the community's 90-year-old elementary school at a cost of $4.8 million. Voters have rejected the tax burden on two previous attempts.
Voters in the Canyon County communities of Marsing and Parma will also decide the fates of school levies.
In the Nampa School District, which is still reeling from a budget fiasco that left the district swimming in red ink for a number of years, two school board trustees are being challenged by four opponents.
In the West Ada (Meridian) School District, two incumbents are being challenged while another zone has attracted four contenders. Voters in the Kuna School District are also selecting trustees in three separate zones.
In Ada County, early voting is conducted 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday at 400 North Benjamin Lane in Boise; and in Canyon County, early voting is conducted 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday at 1102 E. Chicago St. in Caldwell.
