Doctor Who Velocity Bends Time with Post-Release Release Party at Re-Pop Gifts

by

Time, at least in the Doctor Who universe, is a topic of particular stickiness—a "big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff," according to The Doctor during David Tenant's run on the incredibly popular BBC science fiction program.

Sticky as it is, however, a pattern may be emerging for Boise-based fan production, Doctor Who Velocity, which will throw a release party for its third episode on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Re-Pop Gifts.

In the trailer for the third and latest episode, which will be officially released on Halloween, The Doctor (Krystal Moore) vies with the wicked alien genius Davros (Scott Grady) and his iconic creations the Daleks, as well as her equally iconic nemesis, The Master (Chance Fuerstinger), for the life of Kevin Apiary (Paycen McGahey) and his mother, played by Jen Potcher.

The fan-made Velocity series
has garnered 150,000 views online and has been featured on BBC America. Each episode was filmed in Boise using home-made props.

At the episode release party, "Who-lloween," which takes place at Re-Pop from 5-8 p.m., fans can check out a full-sized TARDIS replica and watch the latest episode of Velocity while enjoying drinks and snacks. Guests are encouraged to come in their flyest Doctor Who-themed costumes.
