A fender bender in a parking lot is not out of the ordinary, but this was more like a demolition derby: After a driver passed out behind the wheel, his truck slammed into four other vehicles, careened off an embankment and flipped over.

This morning's Lewiston Tribune reports that a truck was in a Lewiston WinCo parking lot Wednesday morning when the driver reportedly began choking on coffee. Police said the driver, Richard Eaton, 57, of Lewiston, lost consciousness and passed out behind the wheel. His truck accelerated across the parking lot, collided with a Coca-Cola delivery truck, a Pepsi-Cola delivery truck, crashed through a concrete median, struck two other vehicles—one of which had a child inside. The truck then drove off 15-foot high embankment before landing on its roof.

Police said the only person injured in the demolition derby was Eaton, who was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Police have not issued any citations, but told the Tribune Eaton had "valid insurance."
