Darkwood Consort

Darkwood Consort opens the 2008-2009 season with "The Second Hand Rose Collection," a program of favorite transcriptions (second hand music for the recession). Concert highlights include an Argentine Tango by Piazzola, a charming Irish work by Hennessy, a Romance by Poulenc and a bluesy work by Danish composer Wellejus. The members of Darkwood Consort are Karlin Coolidge, flute; Dawn Douthit, violin; Jennifer drake, viola; and Aage Nielsen, bass clarinet.

Price: $12 general; $8 students/seniors
