Cops to Drivers: Get Belted

by

Heads up: Through December 5, Boise Police will be working overtime to identify and punish drivers not wearing seatbelts. The reason: According to a national Mason-Dixon poll from earlier this year, 78 percent of drivers always wear their seatbelts when driving, but 65 percent said the threat of getting popped with a ticket would help encourage them. However, 17 percent of those polled also admitted to reading while driving. So if you're just learning about the increased patrols right now on your morning commute, LOOK OUT!
