Register for a series of classes on computers at the library. On May 6, learn all about Microsoft Word, part of the Microsoft Office Suite, Word is a word-processing program used for typing letters and reports and making simple tables. On May 8, learn e-mail basics including how to set up your own free, web-based e-mail account. The class on May 20 is on Internet searching including how to use search engines to find information on the Internet and how to get to some of the most useful sites on the Web. On May 22, the class is Computer Basics for Adults and is designed for people new to computers. It focuses on basic computer functions and terminology, using the mouse and getting around in the Windows environment.
