Comedian Paula Poundstone

Thursday, Jan. 17, The Egyptian Theatre

If you picked up a copy of last week's BW, you already know that Paula Poundstone is on her way to Boise—and if you didn't, consider this your official warning: An avalanche of laughter lies ahead. Poundstone has long been considered one of America's top stand-up comics, and her 40-year career has included a rigorous touring schedule (she often puts in 85 shows each year), TV appearances, movie voice acting roles, a spot on the Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me panel on NPR, multiple HBO specials and two books. Through it all, Poundstone has remained her iconic, polka dot-wearing self, and never fails to deliver the laughs. And since laughing is supposed to help you live longer (thanks for the heads-up, Scientific American), it will be good for your health to catch her at The Egyptian Theatre in Boise on Thursday, Jan. 17.
