Daily 2 p.m.-2 a.m. From the sweet bartender to the huge karaoke stage (complete with sliver curtain backdrop), Mr. Lucky's is certainly a hot spot. They got a great liquor selection, a padded bar, comfy chairs and friendly, happy regulars. If smoking, drinking, Nascar, and Texas Hold 'Em appeal to you, then while waiting for a settlement from the doctor that delivered you, hang out at Mr. Lucky's. Described by one of the locals as "a nice neighborhood bar," with their cozy interior and reasonable prices, Lucky Dog is sure to keep you hot, drunk and smiley. Beware of bears. A dinny little place but packed by the afternoon, you wonder what they pick in the beer here as it seems to be haven for some amidst it's residential neighbors. Beer drinkers come on down, but leave the cocktail/shot cravings at home cause you won't find any liquor to satisfy that side of your gullet in these parts. Daily 3 p.m.-CloseThis downtown landmark needs no accoutrements. With an old wood bar that dates at least a century back this is one of the friendliest bars around. Look up "pub" in the dictionary and you might just find a picture of this classy, dark wood place. Don't miss the live music on the weekends and the open jam on Mondays. (One TV) 513 W. A quick hit with the sophisticated crowd content to watch the activity on the corner of 6th and Main from behind big plate-glass windows. Interesting rock bar trying to put a cowboy spin on things or the other way around-time will tell if the location was better as a hip-hop bar. There are bras hanging off a bull's head above the bar FYI, perhaps suggesting a girl with good aim got "rowdy" on the mechanical bull?
