Can't Wait for the BW Cover Auction? Check Out the Art and Bid Early This First Thursday at Evermore Prints

Boise Weekly is one of the only newspapers in America to put fine art on its cover. It's a point of pride for us to be able to give that valuable piece of real estate to local artists. Consequently, the Boise Weekly Cover Art Auction is one of our favorite events of the year.

This year, the auction will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Visual Arts Collective in Garden City, but its biggest fans won't have to wait until October to get up close and personal with the works that have adorned the cover. For the second year in a row, they'll be able to scope pieces by scores of artists ahead of the auction at Evermore Prints at its new location at 190 Eighth St. downtown this First Thursday, Sept. 6, from 5-8 p.m.

We're also excited to announce that bidding will start at the First Thursday event. The highest bids will be the baseline bids at the main event. For the first time this year, we'll use the Auction Frogs platform, so be sure to check it out before the event.

For more info, check out the Facebook events for the preview and the auction. We hope to see you there!
