Calling all Tree Huggers

Spring is officially here when Boise's Park and Recreation begin their Tree Care Classes March 19 through May 21. All classes are free and include the highly recommended Introduction/ Tree Biology, Tree Maintenance/ Pruning, Tree Selection and Planting. Insects and Diseases, Testing, and the final Tree Identification Walk in Julia Davis Park. Classes are held from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Hayes Auditorium at the Library! and those who wish to become volunteer Tree Stewards must take all of the above classes or make arrangements with Community Forestry. To reserve your space, call 384-4083 by March 18.
