A man has been arrested after making a bomb threat on a Spirit Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say that Spirit's Flight 245 landed at McCarran International Airport around 5:30p.m. Saturday, where police took the passenger who made the alleged threat into custody at the gate, UPI reports.
Las Vegas police said the man was drunk, according to a KLAS-TV report.
The threat was made just one week before the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.
Authorities searched the aircraft and cleared it Sunday morning.
The passengers, after being evacuated and screened, boarded another plane back to Los Angeles International airport (LAX).
