Two more major thoroughfares in downtown Boise will be converted from one-way to two-way streets Tuesday night. As part of its ongoing Downtown Boise Implementation Plan, first chronicled by Boise Weekly in the summer of 2013, the Ada County Highway District will close down portions of 13th and 14th streets at 8 p.m. Tuesday. And when commuters hit the streets Wednesday morning, beginning at 6 a.m., they'll discover that 13th Street will have transformed into a two-way street from Main Street to State Street. Additionally, 14th Street will become two-way between Front Street to State Street.

ACHD crews will work throughout the night to finish lane striping and signage, in anticipation of the major change. ACHD information boards have been in place, alerting motorists of the change, but commuters are urged to use extra caution to adjust to the new changes.
