Bruce Reichert
is a tough man to pin down. He lives in a log cabin he built himself in Idaho City, where he has been a bartender and a teacher, as well as executive producer and host of Idaho Public Television's Outdoor Idaho—a job he has held for 33 years.

Join Reichert tonight at the Garden City Library (6015 Greenwood St.) for Boise River Lecture: Bruce Reichert, presented by Idaho Rivers United. There, he'll talk about being the host of Outdoor Idaho and tell stories about the headwaters of Idaho's most impressive waterways. His free lecture begins at 6 p.m.

The presentation comes as the headwaters of the Boise River are under threat, according to a coalition of environmental advocacy groups including IRU. They've recently filed suit against the United States Forest Service, alleging it failed to conduct adequate environmental testing prior to giving Canada-based CuMo Mining Company a green light to explore for molybdenum, copper and silver along Grimes Creek, a few miles from Reichert's home in Idaho City.
