The menu at Bru goes far beyond pizza and beer. There will be two ciders from Meriwether Cider on tap, along with cheese and charcuterie boards, and a variety of carefully sourced desserts. In addition, the owners have coated the tables with a glow-in-the-dark paint, allowing customers to use cell phone flashlights or keychain lights like pens to draw on the eating surface.
Co-owner Debbie Kessler, standing in the midst of the pre-opening chaos, was elated.
"We just had to open a place like this, someplace social and fun," she said.
