Boise Philharmonic: Brahms and Frautschi

Close out the Boise Phiharmonic's season with Jennifer Frautschi, two-time Grammy nominee and Avery Fisher career grant recipient, who performs Brahms’s Violin Concerto, called “one of the two best ever written.” The Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra seniors join the orchestra in a rousing performance of Smetana’s Moldeau, which captures the magnificent Bohemian river as it traverses the fertile Czech countryside. The season concludes with Borodin’s exotic and exciting Second Symphony, which celebrates the princes and warriors of ancient Russia.
