With tens of thousands of Idahoans expected to fly in and out of the Boise Airport over the Christmas/New Year holiday stretch, things will hit a fever pitch on Saturday, Dec. 22. So, the good folks at the Boise Philharmonic think some lovely music, performed by the Boise Phil Youth Orchestra String Quartet this Saturday should be the perfect soundtrack for what would otherwise be a stressful scene.

The quartet will perform in the airport atrium, near the TSA security checkpoint, beginning at 3:30 p.m., so that arriving and departing travelers can enjoy the music. The group will be led by Music Director Jennifer Drake.

The quartet recently performed at a unique concert at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Center, where adults battling Parkinson's disease were encouraged to move to the music. And in November, the quartet played for the annual Harvest Dinner for the homeless at Boise's St. Vincent de Paul dining hall.
