A Boise man is behind bars, charged with three felonies, after being accused of destroying a downtown Boise bathroom.

Boise Police said they responded to several calls to a hotel on the 1400 block of Capitol Boulevard in the morning hours of Aug. 21. That's where hotel employees said water was coming out of one of the hotel rooms. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man barricaded inside the bathroom of a hotel room he didn't have permission to use.

Police said they negotiated with the suspect for about an hour, but eventually they forced entry into the bathroom and discovered the suspect, a hypodermic needle and a bag of meth residue. The suspect was taken to a Boise hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Ada County lockup.

Leon Walsh, 44, of Boise is charged with felony counts of burglary, possession of a controlled substance and malicious injury to property. He's also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
