- Kent Williams, 47, is charged with felony robbery.
A Boise man is behind bars charged with a felony count of robbery in connection with an April holdup at a bank. Detectives are now investigating whether the suspect is connected to other incidents.
Boise police said they received information from Garden City police that led officers to the 3500 block of East Chinden Boulevard. That's where they confirmed a vehicle on the scene—a teal-colored sedan—was connected to a robbery of the KeyBank on the 4900 block of West Overland Road on April 14. Boise police said they arrested the suspect Aug. 20 at the Chinden Boulevard address.
Kent Williams, 47, of Boise, was booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of robbery. Police added that their investigation into a series of recent bank robberies is ongoing and, working with Ada County prosecutors, additional charges involving the suspect may be possible.
Earlier this week, Boise police sent out an announcement, asking for the public's help in investigating three bank robberies: the April 14 incident, as well as robberies on July 22 and July 25.
“Our officers are still turning over every stone and following up on every lead trying to catch the person or people responsible for these bank robberies,” said Lieutenant Bryan Hagler, of the BPD Criminal Investigation Division. “Sometimes it’s that one tip from a citizen that leads to an arrest.”
