- By September, the 25-mile Boise Greenbelt will be bigger and better than ever.
Cyclists and pedestrians who frequent the Boise Greenbelt near Municipal Park will be detoured through the end of April.
According to a news release from the Boise Department of Parks and Recreation, a small stretch of the pathway closed on March 4 so "Clearwater Landscape & Irrigation will replace the existing asphalt path with a new wider concrete path. The project is expected to be completed by the end of April, weather depending.
Signs will mark a recommended detour, which will entail users’ use of sidewalks along Walnut Street."

- The short detour near Municipal Park will move Greenbelt users onto Walnut Street.
The Broadway Bridge replacement is also rerouting the Greenbelt away from the traditional underpasses along the river up onto Boise State University's campus and Myrtle Street. That project should also be done in September.
