Boise Farmers Market to Move to New Location in April

The Boise Farmers Market has become an indispensable resource for local foodies—so much so that starting in April, it will take up spring and summer residence at a new, larger location.

"We are on our way to achieving our dream of a year-around indoor-outdoor farmers market," wrote BFM Board President Mike Sommer in an email blast. "This move is the first step."

In the email, Sommer wrote that the market had outgrown its longtime location on Grove Street in the southwest corner of downtown, and will begin using its new location at 1500 Shoreline Drive (it can also be found on Google Maps at 782  S. Americana Blvd.) on Saturday, April 6, the first market day of the year.

The move will offer shoppers more free parking, and accommodate more vendors, special events and activities, but Sommer added that the new digs won't affect the market's emphasis on local agriculture.
