Boise Depot Live Music and Tours

When: Thu., July 14, 5:30-8:30 p.m. 2016

While the Boise Depot once played host to rail passengers, train service ended in the late 1990s and it became a go-to spot for weddings and high-school yearbook photos. It will morph into a concert venue Thursday, July 14, with a special performance from The Silver Brass at the 90-year-old Spanish-style building.

According to Boise Parks and Recreation, the event is part of an effort to provide more opportunities for the public to experience the depot. The Silver Brass, which plays everything from show tunes and marches to ragtime and 20th century pop songs, played a similar show in June and another concert is slated for sometime in December. Along with the music, the event will feature hot dogs from Scotty's Dogs and one-hour historical tours of the site at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Register for tours at the Parks and Rec website.
