A woman who spent much of her professional life putting other people in jail cells is now on the wrong side of the bars.
Boise County Prosecuting Attorney Jolene Maloney, 40, was booked into the Ada County Jail in the early morning hours of April 8, charged with a felony count of driving under the influence.
Details were not immediately available, but Idaho State Police confirmed Maloney had been arrested overnight.
Maloney had been convicted of two prior DUIs, making the most recent arrest a felony. Maloney's court record indicates DUI convictions in 2012 and 2013.
In June 2015, Maloney told the Idaho Statesman she was an alcoholic in recovery, adding that she began abusing alcohol in 2009 to cope with a traumatic incident from her past.
Maloney was expected to be arraigned in Ada County Court later Friday.
