The Boise Co-op is stretching its wings ... to Meridian.
In a letter to Co-op members today, store officials announced that they would open a second location at the Village of Meridian.
"Some of our plans include offering many community events such as cooking classes, food and wine tastings and hosting a regular farmer's market," reads the announcement. "Full details are still a work in progress."
Co-op officials also noted that the expansion "increases our community investment portfolio" and "provides local farmers and producers another outlet to sell their incredible products."
Shannon McGuire, marketing and outreach manager for the Co-op said that the Co-op had sent out a survey to its members, asking about preferences for possible expansion plans. She said the poll results indicated that Meridian was the first choice, followed closely by Nampa.
"The right timing and opportunity presented itself and we chose to pursue a partnership with The Village at Meridian," said McGuire.
