The grants range in size from $1,000-$10,000 and are designed to fund projects by Boise residents or those projects that take place within city limits. Grants are available for both individuals and cultural organizations that, according to the program's strategic goals, "foster an environment where learning, the arts, culture and recreation thrive."
To assist with the application process, the Department of Arts and History will host three application workshops in the Greenbelt Room on the third floor of City Hall: Tuesday, May 12, from 9-10:30 a.m.; Wednesday, May 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; and Monday, May 18, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Projects must take place between Oct. 1, 2015, and Sept. 1, 2016. The application period, which began May 8, runs through Monday, June 22. For more information about the grants and application criteria, visit the Department of Arts and History website.
