by

A pair of Boise brothers have something else in common: They're behind bars, charged with felonies.

Witnesses called in a report of a domestic disturbance in the evening hours of Oct. 4 at a residence near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Hartman Street. That's where Boise Police found an adult male who said that he was beaten by the brothers, one of them using a blunt object. The brothers were discovered a short time later in the area.

21-year-old Joseph Arellano and 24-year-old Matthew Arellano, both of Boise, were each charged with a felony count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful entry. Matthew Arellano was also charged with a felony count of probation violation.
