Boise Bicycle Project Hopes People Will Roll Out for Annual Bikin' For Lovin'

Boise has taken pains to be a bike-friendly city, negotiating for the installation of miles of bike lanes, passing laws that protect cyclists and putting its love of transportation on two wheels right in the storefront (catch Mayor Dave Bieter on his cherry-red cruiser).

For the last few years, Boise Bicycle Project has jumped on the opportunity, throwing an annual Valentine's Day event, Bikin' For Lovin'—an evening ride from BBP's headquarters in the Lusk District by Boise State University to various hangouts. This year, the destination is Spacebar Arcade.

The night ride starts at 6 p.m. at BBP, and anyone can join: singles, couples, friends, you name it. After the procession arrives at Spacebar, throw down for a chance to win raffle prizes that include two free nights at Habitue's The Modern Studio with Garden View, an upcycled tandem bike, a 1-month membership at Vertical View Climbing Gym, a pair of day passes at Vertical View, a pair of passes to the Yogafort launch party, a pair of tickets to Story Story Night's Copper + Zinc show on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and two vouchers to a Boise-themed Boise Bicycle Tour of the winner's choice.
