Boise Art Museum Introduces New U.S. Citizens Membership Program.

by

In an effort to establish a "safe place in which art heals, expands minds, builds tolerance and transcends boundaries," the Boise Art Museum has launched the museum's first-ever New U.S. Citizens Membership Program.

The initiative will offer free, one-year, family-level memberships to U.S. citizens living in Idaho within one year of their naturalization.

In a statement released January 11, BAM officials said the program "demonstrates its commitment to global inclusion" and, by inviting new U.S. citizens to become members of the museum, "we diversify our society and create a space to gather, to make connections to people with similar interests and values, to develop a deeper sense of self and community, and to bridge perceived divides across cultures."
