Boise Aids Walk

Saturday, June 11

by

According to the World Health Organization, by 2014, 71 million people had been infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)—34 million had died and almost 37 million were living with the disease. The portrayal of the disease as primarily affecting intravenous drug users and members of the LGBT community has compounded its devastating impact on society.

On Saturday, June 11, join hundreds of locals for the second annual Boise AIDS Walk, a 2.5-mile trek through the streets of Boise to raise awareness of and funds for people in Idaho affected by the illness. When the last walker has crossed the finish line, there will be a raffle for goodies from My Family Tradition barbecue sauces, $150 in Flying M prizes and more.
